Update Dec 24th

Wizbones PC fell victum to hackers. Christmas Eve Hackers took advantage of an FTP exploit and gained root access to our server, install malicious software and forcing us to have to reformat the drive and restore all services. This was a four 18 hour days of hard core learning experience.

How could this happen? Well becuase of a software package that was installed to provide the e-commerce for our customers, we could not run any software patches and security updates. So we were basically running some outdate and unsecure software on the server.

Plus side of things, since we had to reformat the drive and basically start from scratch, this gave us the opportunity to install a fresh OS, and run and install all security patches/updates etc. So now the box is as up to date as can be. With these in place and the e-commerce software back in place, we can now maintain and continue to maintain the software at an up date presense.

We'd like to thank all of our clientele for sticking in there with us. We love to provide your services adn enjoy working with each and everyone of you. Thanks so much for sticking by us during all our trials and tribulations. We will always overcome, and provide the service levels you expect and have come to know with us. Here's to next year bearing us all a many and great things!!

Update Nov

Late November, our new connection is up and running. During the downtime, we went ahead and updated all DNS settings making it possible that when the connection was live, so were your sites. The transition went smoothly and all services on that box are back live and running strong.

Once again our upstream provider Uvision, LLC is experiencing troubles causing our connection to be down. We feel this is totally unacceptible as a service provided, plus it greatly affects our customers ability to provide their independant services. We have ordered a new connection from another provider, it will be installed Tuesday the 12th. Once it's up and running, we'll begin transfering your domains and stores to the new connection. This will take approximately 24 to 72 hours to truncate to all the root servers globally. We anticipate this will eliminate our connectivity issues that we have been experiencing. Getting us back to providing the service you expect and have become accustom to with Wizbones PC. We'd like to thank all of you who are weathering this storm with us. We deeply and greatly appreciate it. And we look forward to providing excellent service in the future to come.

StoreSense was upgraded to 5.1 - Loads of new features. If you have questions about any of the new features or how to get around the new interface please give us a call!

Update October

During the month of October our upstream provider Uvision, LLC experienced some equipment and service related issues causing our connection to be down mostly from October 4th through the 18th. During this period some of our sites and stores were unavailable.

Due to the connectivity issues we've lost a great storefront! But we still would like you visit them at their new location for all your maternity needs. The MomShop

Update Aug 2nd

Our move into our new office at 584 N Third Ave is complete and we're just about settled in. In themove we picked up another new store. Please welcome, Funk's Piano Studio. In current production are 3 Video Piano Lessons, they should be ready within the next 30 to 60 days, so pre-order yours today! You'll be playing a song your first day!!!

Our StoreSense Server will be updated to 5.0.

I know you have to scroll left and right if you are using a desktop res. of 800 X 600. But we've decided it's time to move forward and ok, that's that! Update July 5th

We hope everyone is enjoying or enjoyed their 4th of July safely!! We sure did. Well it's been awhile since we've brought everyone up to date with the "What's going on at Wizbones PC".

First things first, we've moved!!! That's right, we're excited about this move. We were originally in about 280 Square Feet of space and now, check this, 1800 Square Feet. So this means we'll be able to offer up classes starting soon, now that we have the room.

Our new address is 584 N Third Ave, it's right next door to 572 N Third our original office. So you can still find us, we're right next door to Oregon Farm & Ranch Realty who has assumed command of our old office ;-)

We're proud to say we have customers as far south as Ashland, and as far north as Beaverton. We'd like to welcome aboard our New StoreSense users. Momshop.com and KNYCB's.com, be sure to pay them a visit. Coming soon!! UnitedWeStandNetwork.com, should be up and running by the following Friday.

We now offer StoreSync, which give you the ability to import your inventory directly from QuickBooks Pro 2002 to your StoreFront. Not only that but you can maintain your invoices, inventory etc by "Syncing" your QuickBooks and StoreFront. Inquire at our store, we'd be more than happy to explain the works or show you working examples etc. E-Commerce and setting up your store front has never been easier!! No foolin ;-)

During the month of June we experience some down time from our upstream providers. Down time was brief but lasted off and on over a few days. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and assure you we're on top of the situation to provide you the service you've come to expect from Wizbones PC. We'll never pull the wool over your eyes or keep you in the dark. If you ever need to know what's going on, just give us a call or drop us an email. We have no secrets here. Update Feb 20th

Please note our hours have changed from Mon - Fri 8am - 7pm to Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm. I realized there is only so much I can do as one person and basically ran myself into the ground. I took a few days off to recover, regroup and have recommitted myself to providing the best quality & affordable service I can, just not as many hours :-). Thanks to all who have made us feel like a great success in such a short amount of time. Looking forward to providing you with all your computing needs in the long future ahead. Thank you!!

Update Feb 7th

Brief server up and down periods from 5pm - 8pm. The winds a blowing and the snow is sometimes here and there falling. We've somewhat weathered our second power outages in our new shop. Alas when things happen is when you find out what truly works and doesn't. We've located a bad UPS this evening and have been experiencing some brief ups and downs. We've replaced the bad UPS and all is back up and running. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience!!

Update January 23rd

We weathered our first power outage since opening. Downtime was minimal, and no data was lost. Valuable lesson learned, and we now know what needs to be done next to better our service and prevent future downtimes. Grow with the blows we like to think.
